LYNDIE IRONS

Lyndie Irons, a California native, moved to the island of Kaua’i in 2002 to join her  love and professional surfer, Andy Irons. Andy was on the WSL championship world tour where Lyndie traveled the world alongside Andy as his wife and manager from 2003 until his untimely passing in 2010. Although Andy was winning world titles he was also battling bipolar disorder, drug addiction, and to cope with pressures of performing was self medicating. Always by his side  Lyndie ensured her love and support was always present through these challenging times.

    On December 8, 2010 and just a few weeks after Andy’s passing, Lyndie gave birth to their son, Axel Irons. Over the next few years, Lyndie raised her son on the north shore of Kauai while simultaneously founding, designing and running a globally successful swimwear line.

    In 2016, Axel Irons entered Hanalei elementary school on the north shore of Kauai and thus began a new phase of life for Lyndie. She began volunteering at Axel’s school. Lyndie’s biggest inspiration has always been her grandma Patty, who taught Lyndie and her siblings at an early age to give back to the community, more specifically to children. Motivated to honor Andy’s legacy, she sold her swimwear line in 2017 and immersed herself full time into volunteering in her community and making sure her son Axel has a solid foundation.

    Lyndie and Axel reside and are thriving on the island Kaua’i. Lyndie continues to volunteer at Hanalei Elementary School and is active in the running of the annual Irons’ Brothers Pine Trees Classic surf contest, benefitting the keiki (children) of Hawai’i.

    Currently, Lyndie is writing a children’s book about Kaua’i and is looking forward to publishing it and reading it to the children in Axel’s class!

TAYLOR EASLEY | CFP®

A 22-year veteran of the financial services industry, Taylor served as a financial advisor with both Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley before starting Easley & Associates. He received a bachelor’s degree, with honors, in banking and finance and managerial finance from the University of Mississippi. In addition, Taylor is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™professional, a certification awarded by the College of Financial Planning.

Taylor Easley, CFP®, is on the board of the Kailua Village District Improvement Finance Committee. Located in the historic town of Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i, the goal of the Kailua Village Business Improvement District is to create a model sustainable community that is a better place to invest, work, live and play. In addition, Taylor serves as a Board Trustee for Hawaii Preparatory Academy and as a Board emirutus for Kona Crush Soccer Academy.

DANIELLE TACHE

Danielle Tache grew up in a family of athletes in the fabled town of Aspen, Colorado. Danielle learned to ski under the tutelage of her father, (a professional skier and golfer) and in turn, taught her brother how to ski.

In the summer of 1976, Danielle and a friend traveled to Kaua’i to visit for spring break. When she returned to Aspen, she worked long hours in her dad’s golf shop to earn enough money to go      back  to Kaua’i.

Soon Danielle traded snow for surf and not long after arriving met Phil Irons who would become her future husband.

Phil and Danielle soon married and settled into the sleepy town of Hanalei on the Island of Kauai.  The Irons did not waist anytime in starting a family, welcoming their first son, Andy in 1978. Danielle and Phil’s second son, Bruce, was born in 1979. He was born prematurely but grew to be healthy and happy. It was this experience that spurred Danielle to volunteer for the March of Dimes.

Ultimately, both of the boys went on to become professional surfers, Andy, a three-time world champion and Bruce an Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational winner. Danielle considers raising her sons as her life’s greatest achievement.

Danielle managed both of her son’s professional surfing careers from 2003 to 2008. Throughout these years, she spent the better part of her free time volunteering at Hanalei School and for other local charities and fundraisers.       In 2001 Danielle was instrumental to the inception of her sons’ keiki surfing event, The Irons Brothers’ Pine Trees Classic, which recently celebrated its 16th year.

Danielle welcomed her first grandchild in 2009, Bruce’s daughter, Kaimila. That joy was followed by the devastating and untimely loss of her oldest son, Andy in 2010. A month later Andy’s son, Axel was born and not long after, Bruce’s second child, a son, Koby, was born. Throughout those difficult years, Danielle continued to organize the Irons Brothers’ Pine Trees Classic.

Currently, Danielle has no greater passion than watching her grandchildren participate in the keiki surf contest that is bears their namesake.  She remains committed to giving back to the children and island of Kaua’i and according to Danielle; there is no better way then to facilitate a day of fun, surfing and fellowship at the storied Hanalei Bay, on her home island of Kaua’i.
